We Believe

  • The Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the final authority on all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice. Where scripture does not speak clearly, we defer to apostolic tradition.

  • Historic Creeds

We believe that the historic creeds of the undivided Church provide a clear and indisputable summary of the Christian faith. These creeds are the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

  • Salvation

We believe that we are saved by grace, through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

  • Sacraments

We believe that the sacraments of the Church impart the grace of God and that the Holy Spirit is at work today through spiritual gifts and signs given to the Church.

Transformed by Jesus

Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it. When we enter into relationship with Him, we become the expression of His love to the world. We want to live as He did, to bring Good News to the poor, liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free and to proclaim the time of the Lord’s favor.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Guide. He empowers us to accomplish our mission to redeem the world. Through our “ordinary” Christian life, we experience the power and presence of God by the Holy Spirit. He directs and encourages us in our families, our communities, and the world.

Building the Kingdom of God

In order to bring freedom to the world, we must bring Heaven to earth. The way we do that is by building strong families, strong communities, and strong churches. We come together to embrace and serve the least, the lost and the lonely. When we serve Christ in our neighbor, the Kingdom of God is built on earth.
